Lex Innocentium, The Law of the Innocents, 21st century, was launched on International Peace Day, September 21st, 2024, in Birr, Co. Offaly.
After a morning of music and discussion at the County Arms Hotel in Birr (the hometown of the original Lex Innocentium), the law was formally launched in the afternoon at Redwood Castle in Lorrha, Co. Tipperary.
On the day, powerful contributions were provided by Rob Fairmichael of INNATE, Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire, Former UN Peacekeeper Ed Horgan, Adi Roche of CCI, Dr. John Maguire, Professor of Sociology Emeritus (UCC) and activist and educator Eamon Rafter (StoP, Swords to Ploughshares) among others. Eamon Rafter’s poignant talk is available on our website at this link.
Everyone is invited to subscribe and commit to the law here, where a roll of subscribers will be kept.
